Mean Ergodic Theorems for C0 Semigroups of Continuous Linear Operators

In this paper we obtained mean ergodic theorems for semigroups of bounded linear or continuous affine linear operators on a Banach space under non-power bounded conditions. We then apply them to the wave equation and the system of elasticity to show that the mean of their solutions converges to their equilibriums.

Some Ergodic Properties of Invertible Cellular Automata

In this paper we consider invertible one-dimensional linear cellular automata (CA hereafter) defined on a finite alphabet of cardinality p, i.e. the maps Tf [l,r] : Z Z pk → Z pk which are given by Tf [l,r](x) = (yn) ∞ n=−∞, yn = f(xn+l, . . . , xn+r) = r

Nemirovski Estimate of Mean of Arbitrary Distributions with Bounded Variance

Here I share a few notes I used in various course lectures, talks, etc. Some may be just calculations that in the textbooks are more complicated, scattered, or less specific; others may be simple observations I found useful or curious. 1 Nemirovski Estimate of Mean of Arbitrary Distributions with Bounded Variance The popular Chernoff bounds assume severe restrictions on distribution: it must be...

INTUITIONISTIC FUZZY BOUNDED LINEAR OPERATORS

The object of this paper is to introduce the notion of intuitionisticfuzzy continuous mappings and intuitionistic fuzzy bounded linear operatorsfrom one intuitionistic fuzzy n-normed linear space to another. Relation betweenintuitionistic fuzzy continuity and intuitionistic fuzzy bounded linearoperators are studied and some interesting results are obtained.

On the Mean Ergodic Theorem for Subsequences

With these assumptions we have T defined for every integer n as a 1-1, onto, bimeasurable transformation. Henceforth we shall assume that every set considered is measurable, i.e. an element of a. We shall say that P is invariant if P(A) =P(TA) for every set A, P is ergodic if P is invariant and if P(U^L_oo TA) = 1 for every set A for which P(A) > 0 , and finally P is strongly mixing if P is inv...
