چکیده

Abstract Background Numerous studies have investigated the role of apolipoprotein E ( APOE ) polymorphisms in coronary artery disease (CAD), but some controversies exist regarding outcomes as results were not consistent and remain uncertain. Therefore, present meta-analysis was conducted to evaluate association with disease. Methods All relevant published English language till August 2020 identified by searching through various electronic databases. The complete data independently extracted two researchers. analyzed using Comprehensive Meta-Analysis program MetaGenyo program. pooled odds ratio used check associations between CAD polymorphisms. following genetic models calculate ratio: ?2 vs. ?3 ?4 ?3. Results In final analysis, we include 12 polymorphism CAD. for allele higher (OR 2.00; 95% CI, 1.48–2.71). There is no statistical significant 1.38; 1.18–1.62). This analysis showed publication bias exists current meta-analysis. Conclusions Our findings suggest that appears a risk factor while beneficial alleviate risk. Association study between DNA methylation and genetic variation of APOE gene with the risk of coronary artery disease

Coronary artery disease (CAD) is a common health problem with a high rate of disability and death. Dyslipidemia and altered metabolism of Apo-lipoproteins are involved in the CAD pathogenesis. The current study investigated two common polymorphisms (rs429358 and rs7412) and promoter DNA methylation status of APOE in the Iranian CAD patients and control subjects. Two hundred angiographi...

Association of Endothelial Nitric Oxide Synthase Gene Polymorphisms with Coronary Artery Disease: An Updated Meta-Analysis and Systematic Review

Several association studies of endothelial nitric oxide synthase (NOS3) gene polymorphisms with respect to coronary artery disease (CAD) have been published in the past two decades. However, their association with the disease, especially among different ethnic subgroups, still remains controversial. This prompted us to conduct a systematic review and an updated structured meta-analysis, which i...

The Association between GNB3 Gene Polymorphism and Obesity: A Systematic Review and Meta-Analysis

The association between Guanine Nucleotide Binding protein β protein polypeptide 3(GNB3) C825T polymorphism and obesity has recently been reported. However, the findings remain inconclusive. The aim of this systematic review and meta-analysis was to detect the relationship between GNB3 C825T polymorphism and obesity. Materials and Methods: Six electronic databases including Embase, Medlin...

association of mef2a gene polymorphisms with coronary artery disease

background coronary artery disease (cad) is the most common cause of death worldwide. mef2a directly regulates target genes in the process of muscle development. this gene product is a transcription factor. mef2a protein in homodimer or heterodimer forms binds to a/t-rich cis elements with conserved sequence in promoter, regulator, and enhancer of many genes, which are determining in evolution ...

Association of A561C and G98T Polymorphisms in E-Selectin Gene with Coronary Artery Disease: A Meta-Analysis

OBJECTIVE E-selectin (SELE) mediates the rolling and adhesion of leukocytes on activated endothelial cells and plays a critial role in the pathogenesis of coronary artery disease (CAD). Associatons between the A561C and G98T polymorphisms of the SELE gene and CAD risk were investigated broadly, but the results were inconsistent. In the present study, we performed a meta-analysis to systematical...
