The Application of Fish Wastewater to Improve the Plant Growth, Development and Yield of Lettuce (Lactuca sativa L.)

Demand for low-cost and affordable alternating sources of plant nutrient responses to boost the level damaged arable farmlands has been a main concern soil scientists, agronomists, local farmers. The objective this study is investigate effect fish wastewater on growth parameters, yield, biomass productivity lettuce (Lactuca sativa L.) as compared by using in aerated solution under deep water culture (DWC) technique. experiment was carried out shoot root fresh dry weight, total leaf number, chlorophyll content (SPAD), photosynthesis, (a+ b), carotenoid content, area, NRA activity, length, volume average diameter. Lettuce plants were examined an deep-water technique fully automated climate room six weeks. seedlings transplanted onto 8 L continuously pots containing mix different ratios effluent with tap treatments (T1, T2, T3, T4, T5 T6) replicated three times. effluents did not reduce plants. Shoot matter, diameter significantly increased T3 treatment (Tap + 1.5 mM N 50 ml Nutrient Fe 1000 Fish water). However, grown T4 250 water) had lowest compost derived from plays important role supplying nutrients cultivating Also, appreciable obtained treated wastewater, ground (tap) water. Thus, aquaculture good source nutrition human consumption.
