چکیده
• The French version of the AII (the AII-F) showed good psychometric performances. AII-F is a discriminant, reliable and valid questionnaire. then relevant for diagnosis ankle instability in French-speaking community. Functional affects 20–40% individuals who have already suffered from sprain. Such dysfunctions are difficult to diagnose. Therefore, information provided by self-administered questionnaires essential. Thus, Ankle Instability Instrument (AII) was developed initially validated English. Our goal create instrument, named AII-F, scrupulously respecting cultural adaptation phases make sure new instrument has properties. International recommendations been rigorously followed French-translation phase. Six steps recommended: I) two initial translations English French; II) synthesis versions; III) back-translations English; IV) comparisons between original questionnaire expert committee; V) pretest; VI) approval final AII. In order validate this French-translation, 91 subjects suffering matched healthy were asked complete AII-F. Short Form Health Survey (SF-36) used as comparative well Cumberland Tool (CAIT-F). properties evaluated determining test-retest reliability after 10–14-day interval, internal consistency, construct validity, floor/ceiling effects. did not pose problem could be committee. very total score, with an Intra Class Coefficient 0.983. coherence high alpha coefficient Cronbach 0.861. association CAIT-F high, summary physical component SF-36, meaning great convergent validity. other subscales SF-36 (mental health) weakly correlated reflecting divergent An optimal cut-off score obtained dissociate pathological patients subjects: when subject responded “yes” 5 times or more, he considered, degree confidence, pathological. evaluating measuring functional instability.
