On the Exponent of Triple Tensor Product of p-Groups
The non-abelian tensor product of groups which has its origins in algebraic K-theory as well as inhomotopy theory, was introduced by Brown and Loday in 1987. Group theoretical aspects of non-abelian tensor products have been studied extensively. In particular, some studies focused on the relationship between the exponent of a group and exponent of its tensor square. On the other hand, com...
متن کاملThe Amalgamated Product of Free Groups and Residual Solvability
In this paper we study residual solvability of the amalgamated product of two finitely generated free groups, in the case of doubles. We find conditions where this kind of structure is residually solvable, and show that in general this is not the case. However this kind of structure is always meta-residually-solvable.
متن کاملSymmetric Random Walks on Certain Amalgamated Free Product Groups
We consider nearest–neighbor random walks on free products of finitely many copies of the integers with amalgamation over nontrivial subgroups. When all the subgroups have index two, we find the Green function of the random walks in terms of complete elliptic integrals. Our technique is to apply Voiculescu’s operator–valued R–transform.
متن کاملCuntz-Krieger-Pimsner Algebras Associated with Amalgamated Free Product Groups
We give a construction of a nuclear C∗-algebra associated with an amalgamated free product of groups, generalizing Spielberg’s construction of a certain Cuntz-Krieger algebra associated with a finitely generated free product of cyclic groups. Our nuclear C∗-algebras can be identified with certain Cuntz-Krieger-Pimsner algebras. We will also show that our algebras can be obtained by the crossed ...
متن کاملA tensor product approach to the abstract partial fourier transforms over semi-direct product groups
In this article, by using a partial on locally compact semi-direct product groups, we present a compatible extension of the Fourier transform. As a consequence, we extend the fundamental theorems of Abelian Fourier transform to non-Abelian case.
