Tensions and Paradoxes in Creativity and Innovation

Most often understood as the generation of novel and useful ideas their implementation, research on creativity innovation has mushroomed in recent years. Although these studies provided insights into how organizations can enhance both phenomena, there is a growing consensus literature suggesting that rather than inherently beneficial, are fact ripe with tensions competing demands. These may put individuals teams under pressure they try to a) come up novel, but also implementable ideas, b) complete core tasks efficiently, suggest for improvement, c) bring uniqueness table, at same time form cohesive collectives.
