Tender Loving Care: A Conceptual Analysis

Background: Studies have shown that combining tender loving care (TLC) with the treatment of patients recurrent miscarriages can improve pregnancy outcomes. The importance TLC has long been recognised in studies on psychiatric, gerontological, and end-of-life nursing Western countries. Recently, randomised controlled trials (RCTs) used to examine improvement outcomes addition miscarriages; however, no conclusions reached. is a highly beneficial harmless intervention not necessary for conducting RCTs. Therefore, healthcare professionals need be aware exercising when treating miscarriages. However, concept ambiguous its definition unclear.
 Purpose: This study aimed conduct conceptual analysis clarify constructs. Clarifying will provide basic information helpful who experienced repeated despite hopes having baby.
 Methods: was conducted using Walker Avant’s approach. Research published between first edition journal till January 2022 were searched, titles abstracts reviewed determine their suitability. Consequently, 28 articles, all which English, selected analysis. CINAHL Plus Full Text MEDLINE databases examined. search term ‘tender care’.
 Results: results revealed following antecedents, defining attributes, consequences. antecedents involve diseases or disabilities: (1) suffering from mental physical distress, (2) facing significant barriers life (illness, disability, etc.), (3) being unable manage health well-being through self-care.
 Conclusion: In this study, Avant's (2000) method. As result analysis, care’ defined as ‘the mentally physically distressed impaired subjects by professionals, parents, teachers based compassion empathy, perceive condition subject respond appropriately, thereby reducing tension, anxiety achieving state well-being’.
