Temporal and Local Heterogeneities of Water Table Depth under Different Agricultural Water Management Conditions

چکیده
Integrated water management has become a priority for cropping systems where subirrigation is possible. Compared to conventional sprinkler irrigation, the controlling table can lead substantial increase in yield and use efficiency with less pumping energy requirements. Knowing spatiotemporal distribution of depth (WTD) soil properties should help perform intelligent, integrated management. Observation wells were installed cranberry fields different systems: Bottom, good drainage controlled WTD management; Surface, irrigation Natural, without drainage, or imperfectly drained irrigation. During 2017–2020 growing seasons, was monitored on an hourly basis, while precipitation measured at each site. Multi-frequential periodogram analysis revealed dominant periodic component 40 days year fluctuations Bottom Surface systems; Natural system, periodicity heterogeneous ranged from 2 6 weeks. Temporal cross correlations show that almost all sites, there 3 9 h lag before rises; one exception These results indicate automatic based continuously updated knowledge could contribute systems, by using precipitation-based models predict WTD.

متن کاملConsideration of Water Productivity for Farm Water Management in Different Conditions of Water Availability for Dominant Summer Crops
ABSTRACT- Efficient use of irrigation water for summer crops should be considered seriously due to rare occurrence of precipitation in summer. This research was focused on the assessment of water use efficiency for dominant crops of summer cropping pattern in the study area (i.e., maize and rice) via considering water productivity (WP) with different water management scenarios at farm level at ...

controlled drainage is one of the strategies to reduce negative environmental effects in conventional drainage systems. this study examines the effect of controlled drainage on quality and quantity of drainage water, specifically amounts of salt and nitrate in drainage water, and nitrate uptake by maize (sc 704) with sandy loam soil texture in karaj. the experiment was performed as a randomized...
