چکیده

Boiling heat transfer has a combination of sensible liquid and latent due to vaporization. To examine the in boiling, thermometry liquid-vapor multiphase flow must play significant role. Although there are several optical methods proposed for boiling phenomena, it is challenging directly measure temperature field at relatively high flux many bubbles' interruption illumination observation. This study proposes novel method using confined space, sandwiched space between two transparency plates, two-color laser induced fluorescence distribution around multiple bubbles. The restricted fluid motion make possible illuminate observe almost whole area interest. intensity ratio kinds fluorescent dye exhibits local temporal without any invasion physical probes. We successfully observed scavenging superheated from surface demonstrate this method's utility. changes positions extracted experimental data with were consistent bubble behavior. also discussed remained issues on method.

Microscale Laser-Induced Fluorescence Method for Non-Intrusive Temperature Measurement

Ratiometric Laser Induced Fluorescence (LIF) Thermometry is applied for temperature measurements in a ‘T’ junction, using microscale visualization methods. Rhodamine B (RhB) and Rhodamine 110 (Rh110) are used as the temperature-dependent and temperature-independent dye, respectively. The temperature responses of the two dyes were carefully measured for different concentrations. A novel normaliz...

Measurement of the temperature non-uniformity in a microchannel heat sink using microscale laser-induced fluorescence

Ratiometric laser induced fluorescence (LIF) thermometry is developed as a tool for temperature measurements using microscale visualization methods. Rhodamine B (RhB) and Rhodamine 110 (Rh110) are used as the temperature-dependent and temperature-independent dyes, respectively. The temperature responses of the two dyes are carefully measured as a function of concentration. The traditional twody...

Temperature measurement in a single patterned gold nanorod cluster using laser-induced fluorescence

The ability of photon to thermal conversion on wet chemically synthesized gold nanorods (GNRs) is a unique advantage to explore specific local heating. In this study, we demonstrate the thermal response of a single patterned GNR cluster in aqueous solution under near infrared irradiation. To improve the properties of GNRs, such as solubility, we describe the initiated chemical vapor deposition ...

Simultaneous high-speed measurement of temperature and lifetime-corrected OH laser-induced fluorescence in unsteady flames.

A means of performing simultaneous, high-speed measurements of temperature and OH lifetime-corrected laser-induced fluorescence (LIF) for tracking unsteady flames has been developed and demonstrated. The system uses the frequency-doubled and frequency-tripled output beams of an 80 MHz mode-locked Ti:sapphire laser to achieve ultrashort laser pulses (order 2 ps) for Rayleigh-scattering thermomet...
