چکیده

The magnetization of a nanosized magnet, such as an ultrathin film, thermally fluctuates and can become superparamagnetic. In ferromagnetic/antiferromagnetic thin films, superparamagnetism be suppressed in accordance with antiferromagnetic ordering. exchange bias also induced at the interface, it is nontrivial whether superparamagnetic blocking temperature (TB_SPM) match either onset (TB_EB) or Néel (TN). this study, we investigated dependence parameters coercivity, field, magneto-optic Kerr rotation (?K), AC (MAC) to elucidate matching TB_EB, TB_SPM, TN Pt/Co/Au/Cr2O3/Pt film. Based on dependences MAC, TB_SPM was yielded about 283 K. TB_EB TN, which were determined based ?K, 278 282 K, respectively. almost equal but smaller. This lag caused by difference magnetic anisotropy energy required induce suppress superparamagnetism.

Fabrication of antiferromagnetic α-Cr2O3(0001) thin film and influence on magnetism of ultrathin Co film

We have investigated the fabrication of α-Cr2O3(0001) thin film on a Au(111) surface and the effect of the antiferromagnetic feature of α-Cr2O3(0001) on the magnetic properties of ultrathin Co film on α-Cr2O3(0001). Highly oriented α-Cr2O3(0001) thin film is fabricated by oxidizing Cr(110) thin film grown on a Au(111) surface. Upon the oxidization of threefold symmetric Cr(110) thin film, the α...

Exchange bias in thin-film (Co/Pt)3/Cr2O3 multilayers

We have fabricated exchange-biased Co/Pt layers ((0.3 nm/1.5 nm) 3) on (0 01)-oriented Cr2O3 thin films. The multilayered films showed extremely smooth surfaces and interfaces with root mean square roughness of E0.3 nm for 10mm 10mm area. The Cr2O3 films display sufficient insulation with a relative low leakage current (1.17 10 A/cm at 380MV/m) at room temperature which allowed us to apply elec...

Crystal Structure Manipulation of the Exchange Bias in an Antiferromagnetic Film

Exchange bias is one of the most extensively studied phenomena in magnetism, since it exerts a unidirectional anisotropy to a ferromagnet (FM) when coupled to an antiferromagnet (AFM) and the control of the exchange bias is therefore very important for technological applications, such as magnetic random access memory and giant magnetoresistance sensors. In this letter, we report the crystal str...
