ABSTRACT A firm’s environmental performance and productivity result from decisions regarding input use technological management abatement strategy adoption. Using a sample of chemical using/manufacturing/emitting facilities, how these choices are made their impacts on output examined. Not only adoption driven by different motives, system discourages in the succeeding period. Further, dirty falls with but increases These relationships require more judicious approach to balancing promotion strategies vis-a-vis choices.
