Technology-Enhanced Airport Services—Attractiveness from the Travelers’ Perspective

The rapid emergence of automation brings new opportunities for airport development. Airports strive to maximize passenger satisfaction as well optimize their operation. However, the lack knowledge consumer preferences might be an important barrier achieve these objectives. Therefore, our study aims unveil potential service development alternatives based on artificial intelligence (AI). For this, a systematic literature review (SLR) and quantitative analysis survey have been conducted. results empirical research are 593 responses; most subjects belong generation Z (digital natives) Y (millennials). revealed attitudes towards different AI-based transport solutions AI robots that provide information at airports. Based perceived attractiveness such services, environmentally conscious behaviour consumers, sociodemographic data, were classified into three clusters (Negligents, AV Enthusiasts, Robot Fanatics). Results proved services can used in air-side zone. Among millennials, idea self-driving buses running between terminals is appealing. Greater interest communication among Z. both generations, consumption also paramount importance. has analyzed tourist environment, which good starting point further technology acceptance services.
