TECHNOLOGIES TO REDUCE EMISSION OF METHANE AND NITROUS OXIDE IN RICE FIELDS: A BRIEF REVIEW

چکیده
Climate change caused by increasing anthropogenic greenhouse gas concentrations can threaten food security. Agricultural land is a source of availability, however it one GHG emissions, especially methane and nitrous oxide. Integration management land, water, plants in an integrated manner be effort to reduce the impact climate change. This paper aims inform technologies emissions oxide rice fields. One mitigate on agricultural through use natural materials as inhibitor for formation soil due content secondary metabolites ingredients. Natural simultaneously increase nitrogen nutrient uptake improve crop yields. The production fields suppressed more than 30% coconut fiber, turmeric rhizomes, leaf Ageratum conyzoides, Cosmos caudatus; while application caudatus conyzoides also 20%, respectively.

Methane and nitrous oxide emissions from rice paddy fields
Recent field studies in rice paddy fields in Japan and China have shown that N2O is emitted to the atmosphere not only after the application of nitrogen fertilisers under flooded conditions but also in a period from the final drainage to submergence in the following rice-growing season through nitrification or denitrification. Those results clearly indicate that CH4 and N2O emissions in rice pa...
متن کاملAmmonia, methane, and nitrous oxide emission from pig slurry applied to a pasture in New Zealand.
Much animal manure is being applied to small land areas close to animal confinements, resulting in environmental degradation. This paper reports a study on the emissions of ammonia (NH3), methane (CH4), and nitrous oxide (N2O) from a pasture during a 90-d period after pig slurry application (60 m3 ha-1) to the soil surface. The pig slurry contained 6.1 kg total N m-3, 4.2 kg of total ammoniacal...
متن کاملMitigation of Nitrous Oxide and Methane Emissions from Rice-wheat System of the Indo- Gangetic Plain
Mitigation of methane (CH4) and nitrous oxide (N2O) emission from soil is important to reduce the global warming. Efficacy of six nitrification inhibitors i.e. neem cake, thiosulphate, coated calcium carbide, neem oil, hydroquinone and dicyandiamide (DCD) in mitigating N2O and CH4 emissions from fertilized soil in rice-wheat system, which occupies 13.5 million ha of the most productive lands in...
متن کاملMethane emission from rice fields in relation to management of irrigation water.
A field experiment was conducted for two years to find out best water management practice to mitigate methane emission from the rice-fields. Continuously flooded conditions yielded two major flushes of methane emission and on an average resulted in relatively higher rate of methane emission (2.20 and 1.30 mg m(-2) hr(-1), respectively in 2005 and 2006) during the kharif season. The methane flux...
