Techno-economic analysis of hydrogen production from PV plants

چکیده

Hydrogen production through electrolysis from renewable sources is expected to play an important role achieve the reduction targets of carbon dioxide emissions set for next decades. Electrolysers can use energy surplus produce green hydrogen and contribute making electrical grid more stable. be used as medium-long term storage, converted into other fuels, or feedstock in industry thus contributing decarbonise hard-to-abate-sectors. However, due intermittent variable nature solar wind power, direct coupling electrolysers with renewables may lead high fluctuations frequent shutdowns. As a consequence, accelerated electrolyser degradation safety issues related low load operation arise. In this study, simulations fed by PV system are performed Matlab reference year. The effect power on investigated. impact size fixed nominal plant also analysed both energetic economic points view.
