چکیده
We quantified the taxonomic, functional, and phylogenetic diversity of fungi associated with dead moss tissues conifer needles in a forest-tundra ecotone sub-Arctic region, Quebec, Canada. detected 615 operational taxonomic units, total, 84 families 97% sequence similarity by metabarcoding internal transcribed spacer 1 (ITS1) region nuclear ribosomal DNA. Saprotrophs were dominant functional guild. The results indicated effects host plant species local environmental heterogeneity on fungal cold region. Taxonomic indices communities significantly greater than conifers. was mainly attributable to presence Mucoromycota, compared those conifers, which relatively closely related Dikarya present. also variations vegetation soil properties, suggesting that colonization establishment concomitant development contributed fungi. In contrast, not affected host, vegetation, or indicating community members redundant terms evaluated traits.

Detection and Segmentation of Small Trees in the Forest-Tundra Ecotone Using Airborne Laser Scanning
Due to expected climate change and increased focus on forests as a potential carbon sink, it is of interest to map and monitor even marginal forests where trees exist close to their tolerance limits, such as small pioneer trees in the forest-tundra ecotone. Such small trees might indicate tree line migrations and expansion of the forests into treeless areas. Airborne laser scanning (ALS) has be...

Automatic Detection of Small Single Trees in the Forest-Tundra Ecotone Using Airborne Laser Scanning
A large proportion of Norway’s land area is occupied by the forest-tundra ecotone. The vegetation of this temperature-sensitive ecosystem between mountain forest and the alpine zone is expected to be highly affected by climate change and effective monitoring techniques are required. For the detection of such small pioneer trees, airborne laser scanning (ALS) has been proposed as a useful tool e...
