TAVI specific sex consideration

چکیده
The impact of sex on baseline characteristics and morphological clinical presentation degenerative aortic stenosis has been widely demonstrated but poorly understood. Moreover, differently from valve surgery, where patients were predominantly male, both sexes have well represented in percutaneous treatment (AS), women appeared to derive greater benefit with transfemoral implantation (TAVI) compared surgical treatment. This review focuses sex-specific differences epidemiology, pathophysiology, diagnostic issues, options, outcomes AS. we evaluate how sex-based TAVI management, device selection procedural tricks, may affect outcomes.
