چکیده

Aim: This review was made to determine the effects of using tannin on fermentation quality and animal nutrition as a different alternative additives used prevent spoilage silages, which are widely in today's livestock. Tannins polyphenolic compounds natural with characteristic odor, acrid taste, colors from yellow white, can also be found feeds such gallnut, oak, chestnut rapeseed, broad bean, sorghum. Since BC 1500 they have been various fields medicine food. Apart its antidiarrheal, antiseptic anthelmintic effects, most well-known feature is that it forms proteins. The high protein/water presence feed ensiled makes ensiling difficult affects negatively. High protein will reduce lactic acid formation silages due proteolysis desired pH value not reached. It thought tannins form proteins provide by-pass properties Thus, pass through rumen digested small intestine their utilization increase. In addition, methane gas produced by ruminants causes loss gross energy contributes global warming greenhouse gas. considered an dispose waste ammonia.
Conclusion: use facilitate feeds, increase quality, meet nutrient needs animals better. improve storage conditions roughage. An innovative feeding method provided reducing production consume tannin-containing feeds. approach disposal ammonia.

The use of tannins as silage additives: effects on silage composition and mobile bag disappearance of dry matter and protein

The effects on silage composition of ensiling perennial ryegrass (PRG) with three commercial tannins (mimosa, myrabolam and quebracho tannins) were assessed (Experiment 1). The effects on silage composition and mobile bag disappearance of DM, nitrogen and true protein of the addition of these tannins or a combination of tannin plus formic acid, formaldehyde alone, formic acid alone, or a combin...

Nutrigenomics and its Applications in Animal Science

Nutrigenomics applies genomic technologies to study how nutrients affect expression of genes. With the advent of the post genomic era and with the use of functional genomic tools, the new strategies for evaluating the effects of nutrition on production efficiency and nutrient utilization are becoming available. Nutrigenomics plays an efficient role in various fields of animal health like nutrit...
