چکیده

Staphylococcus aureus is an opportunistic pathogen. Due to the widespread use and abuse of antibiotics, various drug-resistant strains S. have emerged, with methicillin-resistant (MRSA) being most prevalent. Bacterial biofilm a significant contributor bacterial infection drug resistance. Consequently, formation has emerged as therapeutic strategy. In this study, chemical constituents, antimicrobial antibiofilm properties tannins isolated from Penthorum chinense Pursh (TPCP) were investigated. vitro , TPCP exhibited properties. The minimum inhibitory concentrations (MIC) bactericidal (MBC) for methicillin-sensitive (MSSA) MRSA 156.25 312.5 μg/mL, 625 respectively. According growth curves, significantly inhibited MSSA MRSA. results crystal violet assay in conjunction confocal laser scanning electron microscopy demonstrated that destroyed preformed biofilms. decreased secretion exopolysaccharides extracellular DNA. Subsequently, mechanism was investigated using RT-PCR. Examining expression ica A, cid sig B, agr sar A genes MRSA, we discovered by affecting quorum-sensing system bacteria. Our study demonstrates exerts antibacterial effects disrupting biofilms, suggesting clinical potential novel agent prevention treatment infections.

Histones from Avian Erythrocytes Exhibit Antibiofilm activity against methicillin-sensitive and methicillin-resistant Staphylococcus aureus

Staphylococcus aureus, a human pathogen associated with many illnesses and post-surgical infections, can resist treatment due to the emergence of antibiotic-resistant strains and through biofilm formation. The current treatments for chronic biofilm infections are antibiotics and/or surgical removal of the contaminated medical device. Due to higher morbidity and mortality rates associated with o...

Methicillin Resistant Staphylococcus aureus

Etiology Staphylococcus aureus is a Gram positive, coagulase positive coccus in the family Staphylococcaceae. Methicillin-resistant S. aureus (MRSA) strains are resistant to methicillin and essentially all other beta-lactam antibiotics. MRSA isolates are genetically heterogeneous. 1 Some strains, which are called epidemic strains; are more prevalent and can spread within or between hospitals an...

Methicillin Resistant Staphylococcus aureus

Staphylococcus aureus is an opportunistic pathogen often carried asymptomatically on the human body. Methicillin-resistant S. aureus (MRSA) strains have acquired a gene that makes them resistant to all beta-lactam antibiotics. Hospital-associated strains of this organism are serious nosocomial pathogens that have become resistant to most common antibiotics, and treatment can be challenging. Com...
