T2 accuracy on a whole-body imager.
MR oximetry requires a T2 measurement that is accurate within 5% in vivo. Simple methods are susceptible to signal loss and tend to underestimate T2. Current methods utilize RF pulses or RF cycling patterns that prevent signal loss at each data acquisition. However, using these methods with imperfect pulses, T2 tends to be overestimated due to temporary storage of the magnetization along the lo...
متن کاملHighly Resolved MR Imaging of Arbitrary Subregions in Large Objects by a Whole-Body Imager
Highly resolved images of defined regions of interest within extended objects were obtaind with a 1.5 T whole-bode imager and standard hardware. The high-resolution spin echo imaging sequence avoids aliasing and allows pixel resolutions down to 39 pm which are confirmed by phantom measurements. The application of the sequence to large biological objects such as, for example, an amaryllis bulb r...
متن کاملCuboid fracture in a toddler discovered on the whole body bone scan: A case report
This report presents a 3.5-year-old boy who was hospitalized for limping. Medical history and physical exams were not suggestive for any definitive diagnosis. Laboratory and radiographic exams did not support any specific diagnosis either. Subsequently bone scan was performed and increased activity in the ankle due to cuboid fracture was incidentally observed.

متن کاملThe Effects of Whole Body Vibration on Mobility and Balance in Parkinson Disease: a Systematic Review
Whole body vibration (WBV) is a contemporary treatment modality that holds promise as an exercise training method in health–compromised individuals. A growing number of studies on individuals with Parkinson Disease are examining whether WBV improves balance and functional mobility. However, interpreting WBV studies is challenging since there is variability in the manner in which WBV interventio...
