چکیده
AIM The aim of this study was to test the feasibility a new method for systematic screening late sequelae (LS) following colorectal cancer treatment. METHOD Patients with from five Danish hospitals were invited complete survey about LS at 3, 12, 24 and 36 months after surgery as part their follow-up. consisted primarily validated tools, supplemented by few ad hoc items, measuring bowel, urinary sexual dysfunction, pain quality life an additional question regarding request contact. completed surveys electronically or on paper. Since some patients answered more once, dataset 2361 surveys. requested phone contact in 19.0% surveys, 8.4% referred treatment LS, bowel dysfunction. Among cancer, 30.8% 16.2% mainly due CONCLUSION This is first investigating using electronic patient-reported outcome measures. shows that population high response rate can be obtained close three-quarters respond had higher need cancer.

A prospective study was carried out on 24 volunteers who had suffered from paralytic poliomyelitis up to 51 years earlier. A quantitative EMG was carried out in each subject. Grossly raised mean amplitudes of the interference patterns were found in many strong muscles as well as in weak muscles. Such muscles frequently showed "contraction fasciculation", a manifestation of loss of normal small ...
