چکیده

Background: the main objective of this study was to analyze potential short-, medium- and long-term effects a therapeutic physical exercise (TFE) programme on functionality amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS) patients, measured with Revised Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis Functional Scale (ALSFRS-R) scale. Methods: systematic review PubMed, SCOPUS, Cochrane, Scientific Electronic Library Online (Scielo), Physiotherapy Evidence Database (PEDro), Cumulative Index Nursing Allied Health Literature (CINAHL) Medical Analysis Retrieval System (MEDline) databases carried out. The information filtered using following Subjects Heading (MeSH) terms: “Amyotrophic sclerosis”, “Physical Therapy”, Rehabilitation Medicine”. internal validity selected documents evaluated PEDro included clinical trials published in last 5 years which one interventions patients ALS, ALSFRS-R as outcome variable functional variables secondary variables. Results: 10 were analyzed, an 5–7 points. TFE groups showed significant differences, obtaining mean difference 5.8 points compared 7.6 obtained by control groups, at six months, ALSFRS-R. In addition, participants improvements abilities short, medium long terms. Conclusions: Therapeutic could contribute slowing down deterioration musculature thus facilitating their performance activities daily living, based differences shown these individuals term both subjective perception, ALSFRS-R, capacities.
