چکیده

Electrochemical impedance spectroscopy (EIS) is an important electrochemical technique that used to detect changes and ongoing processes in a given material. The main challenge of EIS interpreting the collected measurements, which can be performed several ways. This article focuses on electrical equivalent circuit (EEC) approach uses grammatical evolution automatically construct EEC produces AC response corresponds one obtained by measured process(es). For fitting purposes, synthetic measurements data from realistic environment were used. In order able faithfully fit new element (ZARC) had implemented integrated into SPICE simulator, was for evaluating EECs. Not only presented (i.e., with almost no user input) produce more than satisfactory each datasets, but it also generate completely configurations. These configurations may help researchers find some new, previously overlooked processes.

Equivalent Electrical Circuit Modeling of Ceramic-Based Microbial Fuel Cells Using the Electrochemical Impedance Spectroscopy (EIS) Analysis

The effect of the thickness of ceramic membrane on the productivity of microbial fuel cells (MFCs) was investigated with respect to the electricity generation and domestic wastewater treatment efficiencies. The thickest ceramic membrane (9 mm) gained the highest coulombic efficiency (27.58±4.2 %), voltage (681.15±33.1 mV), and current and power densities (447.11±21.37 mA/m2, 63.82±10.42 mW/m2) ...

Reducing Impedance Fluctuation by Electrode Structure for Electrochemical Impedance Spectroscopy

In this paper, we investigated the electrode structure of the electrical bio-sensor to reduce impedance measurement fluctuation. Five pairs of the same electrodes were formed on the PCB substrate, and a fluidic channel was constructed with a double-sided tape and polycarbonate cover so that all the electrodes had the same reagent distribution. In order to find an electrode structure with little...

Using electrochemical impedance spectroscopy of salicylate anion selective electrode: simulation for behavior of electrode

In this paper, the behavior of the salicylate anion-selective electrode was studied using the electrochemical impedance spectroscopy technique. Considering the diagram of the charge transfer resistance and -logarithm of the double layer capacitance versus -logarithm of the concentration, linear range concentration increased to 1.0×10^{-8}-1.0×10^{-1} M and 1.0×10^{-9}-1.0×10^{-1} M, respectivel...

An integrated approach to electrochemical impedance spectroscopy

A philosophy for electrochemical impedance spectroscopy is presented which integrates experimental observation, model development, and error analysis. This approach is differentiated from the usual sequential model development for given impedance spectra by its emphasis on obtaining supporting observations to guide model selection, use of error analysis to guide regression strategies and experi...

Sensing Estrogen with Electrochemical Impedance Spectroscopy

This study demonstrates the application feasibility of electrochemical impedance spectroscopy (EIS) in measuring estrogen (17β-estradiol) in gas phase. The present biosensor gives a linear response (R2 = 0.999) for 17β-estradiol vapor concentration from 3.7 ng/L to 3.7 × 10-4 ng/L with a limit of detection (3.7 × 10-4 ng/L). The results show that the fabricated biosensor demonstrates better det...
