Synthesis of nanosilver with simpur leaf (Dillenia indica) modified PVA as antibacterial

Abstract Synthesis of silver nanoparticles using a bioreductant simpur leaf extract to minimize the use inorganic materials that are harmful and not environmentally friendly. Silver with bioreduction method, solution was mixed AgNO3 precursor addition PVA concentrations 0%, 0.75%, 1.5% 3%. The purpose this study determine effect on characteristics antibacterial activity. Analysis functional groups in Ag/PVA 0.75% FTIR Spectrophotometer showed wave numbers 3443 cm -1 3441 presence -OH at 1640 1638 C=O groups. UV-Vis analysis optimum wavelength 3% variation absorption region an absorbance value 429 nm average size 8.19 nanoparticles. Inhibition against bacterial growth Escherichia coli Staphylococcus aureus highest concentration 100% inhibition zone diameter 10.33 mm 11.58 strong category.
