Synthesis of Bi-Pr-O Composite Nanoflakes with Good Electrochemical Performance

Bi-Pr-O composite nanoflakes were synthesized with the aid of polyvinyl pyrrolidone (PVP) as surfactant. The characterization was performed by X-ray diffraction and electron microscopy. prepared consisted tetragonal Bi2O3, hexagonal Pr2O3, Bi0.4Pr0.6O1.5 smooth surface. size whole is less than 1 μm thickness 100 nm. formation can be explained a PVP-assisted growth mechanism. A systematic study electrochemical catalysis L-cysteine using Bi-Pr-O-composite-nanoflake-modified electrode carried out. pair quasi-reversible anodic cathodic peaks are observed at −0.69 +0.02 V, respectively, on in 2 mM 0.1 M KCl solution. current response proportional to concentration range 0.001—2 detection limit 0.33 μM. In addition, display satisfactory reproducibility stability for L-cysteine.
