Synthesis of 5‐hydroxymethylfurfural from glucose over carbon‐based acid–base bifunctional catalyst

چکیده

Carbon-based acid–base bifunctional catalyst was synthesized by the functionalization of activated carbon (AC) with 3-mercaptopropyl trimethoxysilane, 3-aminopropyl and H2SO4 via sulfhydrylation, ammonifiation, sulfonation successively. The as-prepared NH2-AC-SO3H characterized infrared spectroscopy, X-ray diffraction, thermogravimetric analysis Brunauer–Emmet–Teller specific area analysis, it further used for producing fuel precursor 5-hydroxymethylfurfural (5-HMF) from glucose. influences type, ratio groups, amount, reaction temperature, time were investigated. It found that revealed excellent activity, yield 5-HMF reached 71.8% under optimized conditions a 1.3:1 mass to glucose at 140°C 6 h in γ-valerolactone. reusability also performed, only slight decreases conversion observed, still giving 65.3% after 4 runs.

MOFs as multifunctional catalysts: one-pot synthesis of menthol from citronellal over a bifunctional MIL-101 catalyst.

A bifunctional MOF catalyst containing coordinatively unsaturated Cr(3+) sites and palladium nanoparticles (Pd@MIL-101) has been used for the cyclization of citronellal to isopulegol and for the one-pot tandem isomerization/hydrogenation of citronellal to menthol. The MOF was found to be stable under the reaction conditions used, and the results obtained indicate that the performance of this bi...

A bifunctional palladium/acid solid catalyst performs the direct synthesis of cyclohexylanilines and dicyclohexylamines from nitrobenzenes.

Nitroderivatives are transformed to cyclohexylanilines at room temperature in good yields and selectivity via a hydrogenation-amine coupling cascade reaction using Pd nanoparticles on carbon as a catalyst and a Brönsted acid.

One pot synthesis of cyclohexanone oxime from nitrobenzene using a bifunctional catalyst.

Cyclohexanone oxime is formed from nitrobenzene with 97% yield in a one-pot reaction catalysed by palladium and gold nanoparticles on carbon. The reaction is carried out under hydrogen at 60 °C and the overall transformation involves a multi-step catalysed mechanism from which intermediates and catalytically active species have been identified.

Methanobactin-Mediated Synthesis of Gold Nanoparticles Supported over Al2O3 toward an Efficient Catalyst for Glucose Oxidation

Methanobactin (Mb) is a copper-binding peptide that appears to function as an agent for copper sequestration and uptake in methanotrophs. Mb can also bind and reduce Au(III) to Au(0). In this paper, Au/Al2O3 catalysts prepared by a novel incipient wetness-Mb-mediated bioreduction method were used for glucose oxidation. The catalysts were characterized, and the analysis revealed that very small ...
