چکیده

A novel Schiff base 2, 2?-((1E,1?E)-((4-methyl-1, 3-phenylene) bis (benzylidene)) (methylethylidene)) (4-methoxyphenol) (L) was the result of reaction between 4-diaminotoluene and 2-hydroxy-5-methoxy benzaldehyde. The compound characterized using IR, UV-Vis, 1H, 13C NMR techniques. structure ligand determined by X-Ray Diffraction method (XRD). All experimental results were proved explained theoretically exploiting DFT (Density Functional Theory) calculations. electrochemical properties studied through cyclic voltammetry mean FMOs (Frontier Molecular Orbitals). antioxidant activity synthesized evaluated utilizing several tests as DPPH (1, 1-diphenyl-2-picryl hydrazyl), ABTS (2, 2?-azino-bis(3-ethyl benzthiazoline-6-sulfonicacid), hydroxyl radical scavenging test, reducing power ?-carotene bleaching test chemical methods, superoxide method. effective concentration (EC50) showed that has a good activity, relationship structure-activity calculated electronic demonstrates reactivity.
