Catalysts have an essential role in chemical processes because they can control reactions and produce the desired product. In general, catalysts function to speed up that take place by lowering activation energy. By decreasing energy, minimum energy required for collision is reduced so reaction occur faster. Selection of suitable material be used as a catalyst effort must made achieve successful process obtain cost efficiency. The choice metal support was aim this research. Aluminum (Al) chosen γ-Al2O support. method synthesis dry impregnation. It hoped more will stick study, carried out with two variations treatment. first treatment using Al γ-Al2O3 second did not use only resulting characterized XRD analysis. analysis found diffractogram pattern /γ-Al2O3, peaks appeared at 2θ = 37o; 46o 67o. impregnation went well. evenly distributed (sticks) pore surface entered pores
