چکیده

The combination of delocalized units for the fast pyrolysis biomass to produce bio-oil followed by centralized gasification appears as an economically attractive option full-scale production syngas because transportation is less costly than that biomass. First goal this study lies in validation a feeding device made up line-thermostated at 60–80 °C and non-atomizing injector cooled water. This allows crude continuous mode into conical spouted bed reactor without being clogged pyrolytic lignin bio-oil. effect temperature on gas properties, tar composition, carbon conversion efficiency were assessed 800–900 range. results show promotes reduction (from 40.7 12.5 g/Nm3), 91.2 96.3 %) yield 1.37 1.85 Nm3/kg dry basis) increased from 800 900 °C. A novel aspect detailed characterization evolution with temperature, which, our knowledge, has not been approached literature related raw gasification.

Steam Reforming and Gasification of Pyrolysis Oil Reactor and Process Development for Syngas Production from Biomass

Gasification of pyrolysis oil was studied in a fluidized bed over a wide temperature range (523-914 °C) with and without the use of nickel-based catalysts. Noncatalytically, a typical fuel gas was produced. Both a special designed fluid bed catalyst and a crushed commercial fixed bed catalyst showed an initial activity for syngas (H2 and CO) production at T >700 °C. However, these catalysts los...

Sustainable hydrogen production via reforming of bio-oil model compounds using a novel spouted bed reactor

Hydrogen produced from renewable energy sources can present significant environmental benefits as an alternative to fossil fuels or as a means for clean power generation via fuel cells. The aqueous fraction of bio oil can be used as a source for hydrogen production, if reformed in the presence of active catalytic materials. Recently, we introduced the concept of the spouted bed reactor for the ...

A Pilot Study of Syngas Production from Bio-oil Thermal Cracking in a Bubbling Fluidized Bed Reactor

A fluidized bed reactor that is operating in the bubbling regime has been developed for the conversion of bio-oils to syngas. The reactor consists of a 7.6 cm I.D. (or internal diameter) bed, with an expanded freeboard. The volume of the reactor can be adjusted to vary the gas residence time. This reactor has been used to carry out either thermal or catalytic cracking for reforming bio-oils.A ga...

Production of Bio-oil by Oxidative Pyrolysis of Sewage Sludge in Rotating Fixed Bed Reactor

Pyrolysis is an attractive thermal conversion technology used to produce bio-oil and some chemicals. In this study, we investigated the pyrolysis of sewage sludge under N2 and CO2 atmosphere at various temperatures (350-750°C) in a rotating fixed bed reactor. For under N2 atmosphere, thermal gravimetric analysis (TGA) shows two major reaction peaks centered at 300 and 500°C. However, if CO2 was...

Production of Activated Carbon from Palm-oil Shell by Pyrolysis and Steam Activation in a Fixed Bed Reactor

The research objective was to produce activated carbon from palm-oil shells by one step pyrolysis and steam activation in a fixed bed reactor with the diameter of 100 mm. The studied variables were activation temperature, activation time, palm-oil shell sizes and flow rate of air. The results showed that the optimum condition was 1.18-2.36 mm of palm-oil shells at 750C for 2 hr with air flow ra...
