Synergy of Ni micro-alloying and thermomechanical processing in Al–Mg–Si–Cu–Zn–Fe–Mn alloys with enhanced bendability

Synergy of Ni micro-alloying and thermomechanical processing on the phase distribution, formability bendability Al–Mg–Si–Cu–Zn–Fe–Mn alloys was systematically studied in this paper. With addition Ni, Ni-containing Fe-rich can be formed, which not only serves as nucleation sites Mg–Si precipitates (such as, Q phase) during casting process, but also improves uniform distribution level phases after homogenization. The alloy both improved to a certain due positive effect micro-alloying. In comparison, if increasing cold rolling deformation between hot annealing, multi-scale significantly based synergy processing. And finally, improvement further results great improvements microstructure, texture, (average r = 0.688, △r −0.09) together. Based microstructure evolution, mechanism is put forward
