چکیده

The concentration and sources of organic nitrogen (ON) in lake sediment significantly affect the cycle. However, influencing factors contributors to ON accumulation rate (ONAR) are unclear. In this study, three cores from northern, eastern, southern Dianchi Lake (DC-N, DC-E, DC-S, respectively), sampled July 2014, were used study effects autochthonous allochthonous on ON. results showed that ONAR increased 2.4–5.1 2.6–4.8 times, respectively, 1900 2000, especially since 1980s, at which point algal blooms occurred more frequently. contents decreased order: DC-S > DC-N whereas values followed suggesting was influenced by content as well depositional environmental conditions. total concentrations n-alkanes (n-C12 n-C34) ranged 4719 ng g-1 61,960 cores, each exhibited different characteristic variation with vertical depth. mainly (soil erosion terrestrial plants) (algal aquatic DC-N, they primarily mixed planktonic DC-E. Using stochastic impacts regression population, affluence, technology (STIRPAT) model further examine revealed a 1% increase air temperature fertilizer could be correlated stimulation 23%–33% 20%–79% basin, urban land area reduction 2%–11%, DC-N. Therefore, our suggests warmer wetter climate combined increasing chemical application influences spatial temporal sedimentary Lake.

Impacts of reactive nitrogen on climate change in China

China is mobilizing the largest anthropogenic reactive nitrogen (Nr) in the world due to agricultural, industrial and urban development. However, the climate effects related to Nr in China remain largely unclear. Here we comprehensively estimate that the net climate effects of Nr are -100 ± 414 and 322 ± 163 Tg CO₂e on a GTP₂₀ and a GTP₁₀₀ basis, respectively. Agriculture contributes to warming...

Lake Sediment Records on Climate Change and Human Activities in the Xingyun Lake Catchment, SW China

Sediments from Xinyun Lake in central Yunnan, southwest China, provide a record of environmental history since the Holocene. With the application of multi-proxy indicators (total organic carbon (TOC), total nitrogen (TN), δ13C and δ15N isotopes, C/N ratio, grain size, magnetic susceptibility (MS) and CaCO3 content), as well as accelerator mass spectrometry (AMS) 14C datings, four major climatic...

Spatiotemporal Impacts of Climate, Land Cover Change and Direct Human Activities on Runoff Variations in the Wei River Basin, China

Previous studies that quantified variations in runoff have mainly focused on the combined impacts of climate and human activities or climate and land cover change. Few have separated land cover change from human activities, which is critical for effective management of water resources. This study aims to investigate the impact of changing environmental conditions on runoff using the Soil and Wa...

Spatiotemporal Variation in Particulate Organic Carbon Based on Long-Term MODIS Observations in Taihu Lake, China

In situ measured values of particulate organic carbon (POC) in Taihu Lake and remote sensing reflectance observed by three satellite courses from 2014 to 2015 were used to develop an near infrared-red (NIR-Red) empirical algorithm of POC for the Moderate Resolution Imaging Spectroradiometer (MODIS-Aqua) satellite image. The performance of the POC algorithm is highly consistent with the in situ ...

Spatiotemporal Change of Spring Drought in Southwest China

A drought index analytical method based on a relative moisture index was used to evaluate meteorological data between 1958 and 2012 and study the temporal variation, spatial distribution, and sub-regional evolution characteristics of spring drought in Southwest China. The results showed a decreasing frequency of spring drought in the West Sichuan Plateau, Southwest Sichuan Upland, and Yunnan Pl...
