چکیده
The detected high-energy pulsars' population is growing in number, and thus, having agile physically relevant codes to analyze it consistently important. Here, we update our existing synchro-curvature radiation model by including a better treatment of the particle injection, particularly where large pitch angle particles dominate spectra, implementing fast accurate minimization technique. latter allows improvement computational cost, needed test enhancements apply larger pulsar population. We successfully fit sample pulsars with X-ray $\gamma$-ray data. Our results indicate that, for every emitting particle, spatial extent their trajectory most produced small fraction light cylinder. also confirm this new approach that synchrotron not negligible gamma-ray detected. Relativistic Effects and Polarization in Three High-Energy Pulsar Models
We present the influence of the special relativistic effects of aberration and light travel time delay on pulsar high-energy lightcurves and polarization characteristics predicted by three models: the two-pole caustic model, the outer gap model, and the polar cap model. Position angle curves and degree of polarization are calculated for the models and compared with the optical data on the Crab ...
متن کاملHigh Energy Processes in Pulsar Wind Nebulae
Young pulsars produce relativistic winds which interact with matter ejected during the supernova explosion and the surrounding interstellar gas. Particles are accelerated to very high energies somewhere in the pul-sar winds or at the shocks produced in collisions of the winds with the surrounding medium. As a result of interactions of relativistic leptons with the magnetic field and low energy ...
متن کاملNuclear curvature energy in relativistic models.
The difficulties arising in the calculation of the nuclear curvature energy are analyzed in detail, especially with reference to relativistic models. It is underlined that the implicit dependence on curvature of the quantal wave functions is directly accessible only in a semiclassical framework. It is shown that also in the relativistic models quantal and semiclassical calculations of the curva...
متن کاملHigh Energy Studies of Pulsar Wind Nebulae
The extended nebulae formed as pulsar winds expand into their surroundings provide information about the composition of the winds, the injection history from the host pulsar, and the material into which the nebulae are expanding. Observations from across the electromagnetic spectrum provide constraints on the evolution of the nebulae, the density and composition of the surrounding ejecta, the g...
متن کاملPulsar Timing and Spacetime Curvature
We analyze the effect of weak field gravitational waves on the timing of pulsars, with particular attention to gauge invariance, that is, to the effects that are independent of the choice of coordinates. We find: (i) the Doppler shift cannot be separated into gauge invariant gravitational wave and kinetic contributions; (ii) a gauge invariant separation can be made for the time derivative of th...
