متن کاملFinite Temperature SD Equation for Chiral Symmetry Restoration in Dual Ginzburg-Landau Theory
We study the chiral phase transition at T 6= 0 in the dual Ginzburg-Landau theory using the Schwinger-Dyson (SD) equation. In order to solve the SD equation at T 6= 0, we provide a new ansatz for the quark self-energy in the imaginary-time formalism. The recovery of the chiral symmetry is found at T C ∼ 100MeV with realistic parameters, which are set by reproducing the values of the string tens...
متن کاملFully Consistent Finite-Strain Landau Theory for High-Pressure Phase Transitions
Landau theory (LT) is an indispensable cornerstone in the thermodynamic description of phase transitions. As with structural transitions, most applications require one to consistently take into account the role of strain. If temperature drives the transition, the relevant strains are, as a rule, small enough to be treated as infinitesimal, and therefore one can get away with linearized elastici...
متن کاملDual Ginzburg-landau Theory and Chiral Symmetry Breaking
We study the properties of quarks, being confined in hadrons, with the Schwinger-Dyson equation in the dual Ginzburg-Landau Theory. Magnetic monopole condensation, which provides quark confinement, is demonstrated responsible also for dynamical chiral-symmetry breaking. We discuss then the recovery of the chiral symmetry at finite temperature.
متن کاملCharge Transfer from Regularized Symmetry-Adapted Perturbation Theory.
The charge-transfer (CT) together with the polarization energy appears at second and higher orders in symmetry-adapted perturbation theory (SAPT). At present there is no theoretically compelling way of isolating the charge-transfer energy that is simultaneously basis-set independent and applicable for arbitrary intermolecular separation. We argue that the charge-transfer can be interpreted as a...
