Syd/JIP3 controls tissue size by regulating Diap1 protein turnover downstream of Yorkie/YAP

چکیده

How organisms control organ size is not fully understood. We found that Syd/JIP3 required for proper wing in Drosophila. JIP3 mutations are associated with defects mammals. The underlying mechanisms well discovered inhibition results a downregulation of the inhibitor apoptosis protein 1 (Diap1) Drosophila wing. Correspondingly, deficient tissues exhibit ectopic cell death and yield smaller wings. generated similar effects mammalian cells, indicating conserved mechanism. Yorkie/YAP stimulates cells. Notably, full effect Yorkie-mediated tissue growth. Thus regulation Diap1 functions downstream to This study provides mechanistic insights into recent perplexing link between mammals, including humans where de novo variants microcephaly.

Protein Phosphatase 2A Controls Ethylene Biosynthesis by Differentially Regulating the Turnover of ACC Synthase Isoforms

The gaseous hormone ethylene is one of the master regulators of development and physiology throughout the plant life cycle. Ethylene biosynthesis is stringently regulated to permit maintenance of low levels during most phases of vegetative growth but to allow for rapid peaks of high production at developmental transitions and under stress conditions. In most tissues ethylene is a negative regul...

Extracellular matrix controls tubulin monomer levels in hepatocytes by regulating protein turnover.

Cells have evolved an autoregulatory mechanism to dampen variations in the concentration of tubulin monomer that is available to polymerize into microtubules (MTs), a process that is known as tubulin autoregulation. However, thermodynamic analysis of MT polymerization predicts that the concentration of free tubulin monomer must vary if MTs are to remain stable under different mechanical loads t...

Lpar2b Controls Lateral Line Tissue Size by Regulating Yap1 Activity in Zebrafish

LPA signaling plays important roles during cell migration and proliferation in normal and pathological conditions. However, its role during sensory organ development remains unknown. Here we show a LPA receptor Lpar2b is expressed in the posterior lateral line primordium (pLLP) and mechanosensory organs called neuromasts (NMs) in zebrafish embryos. Lpar2b loss-of-function significantly reduces ...

TPC2 controls pigmentation by regulating melanosome pH and size.

Melanin is responsible for pigmentation of skin and hair and is synthesized in a specialized organelle, the melanosome, in melanocytes. A genome-wide association study revealed that the two pore segment channel 2 (TPCN2) gene is strongly linked to pigmentation variations. TPCN2 encodes the two-pore channel 2 (TPC2) protein, a cation channel. Nevertheless, how TPC2 regulates pigmentation remains...

Heat shock protein 27 controls apoptosis by regulating Akt activation.

Activation of the serine-threonine kinase Akt by cytokines, chemokines, and bacterial products delays constitutive neutrophil apoptosis, resulting in a prolonged inflammatory response. We showed previously that Akt exists in a signaling complex with p38 MAPK, MAPK-activated protein kinase-2 (MAPKAPK-2), and heat shock protein-27 (Hsp27); and Hsp27 dissociates from the complex upon neutrophil ac...
