Swedish neonatal nurses’ experiences of enhancing attachment to children born prematurely

The purpose of this study was to illuminate pediatric neonatal nurses' (PNNs') experiences enhancing early attachment for the premature children in intensive care (NIC). An interview with 8 PNNs NIC southeastern Sweden conducted, and analyzed by content analysis. Result, illustrated three categories: Enabling closeness between child parents, Supporting parents’ sense parenthood, Obstacles attachment. Discussion, have a great role supporting but several barriers need be addressed make it easier PNN enhance child.
