Sustainable Tourism Product Development: An Application of Product Design Concepts

This study examines sustainable tourism products in destinations. Based on concepts of product design, our proposes a framework for by adapting an existing Design Sustainability Framework to consider and analyze the characteristics themes (tourism) as well their impact scope. Using pragmatic qualitative approach, 15 semi-structured interviews with destination managers from German-speaking Alpine region formed empirical basis study.
