As consumers seek products that cause minimal environmental harm and bring about positive social impact, as awareness of supply chain impact grows, retailers must embrace sustainability. Given their unique position in the between upstream suppliers downstream consumers, are key to a circular economy which at initial end-of-life stage returned for continued use. By serving connection retail initiatives can help reduce, reuse, recycle. Furthermore, leverage enable legitimize focus on issues across chain. We discuss such actions, challenges need be overcome have scalable mechanisms utilize make progress.
