Sustainable development education practices in elementary schools

This study described the practice of Education for Sustainable Development (ESD) along with supporting factors implementation ESD in three elementary schools (SD) which are referred to as pilot education Surabaya, namely SD Al Irsyad, Citra Berkat Primary Schooland Putat Gede I Surabaya Elementary School. The used a qualitative approach comparative descriptive methods. instrument form in-depth interviews and documentation studies. Data analysis techniques included data reduction, presentation verification. results this indicated that sustainable development practices have been implemented School take place (1) diverse conservation includes stages preservation, restoration, adaptation revitalization ecoliteracy facilitate so students can build connections, awareness experience, (2) has supported by commitment school community leadership principal outlined various policies integrated into curricular extracurricular activities, (3) shown number indicators field education. Based on linkages main aspects ESD, it appears still dominantly focused environmental activities.
