Sustainability-Oriented Business Model Evaluation—A Literature Review

Since the need of sustainable development is indisputable, companies are forced to strive for resources, processes, and products that sustainable. Thus, their business models as main representation activities should be designed in an ecologically, economically, socially beneficial way. However, designing developing closely linked evaluation. Sustainable model evaluation a vital part has been addressed literature past with increasing frequency. As consequence, plethora different approaches sustainability-oriented calls systematic review. this study, we reviewed existing articles on identified four categories methods: single indicators (I), indicator system/framework (II), simulation-based (III), multi criteria decision-making (IV). By analyzing structuring proposed approaches, benefits limitations revealed, pointing out gaps future research needs successfully evaluating today future.
