Susceptibility of Liriomyza sativae Blanchard (Diptera: Agromyzidae) melon populations to abamectin, cyromazine, and cyantraniliprole

چکیده
Melon is one of the most exported fruits from Brazil. The leafminer fly, Liriomyza sativae (Blanchard) (Diptera: Agromyzidae), major problems that negatively interfere in productivity increase this crop. Chemical control adopted method for pest; however, producers have reported reduced susceptibility to insecticides. Thus, study aimed evaluate L. larvae abamectin, cyromazine, and cyantraniliprole populations collected two melon crop-producing regions Northeast Brazil (Juazeiro, BA Icapuí, CE). insecticide's lethal concentration 50 (LC50) was obtained laboratory using leaf dip bioassay with larvae. No difference observed LC50 between three Both showed low variation cyantraniliprole.

متن کاملTemperature-Dependent Development of Two Neotropical Parasitoids of Liriomyza sativae (Diptera: Agromyzidae)
We studied two species of neotropical parasitoids that occur naturally in northeastern Brazil and are associated with Liriomyza sativae (Blanchard): Opius (Gastrosema) scabriventris Nixon (Hymenoptera: Braconidae) and Chrysocharis vonones (Walker) (Hymenoptera: Eulophidae). We evaluated the influence of seven temperatures on the duration of the egg-adult period and on the survivorship of the im...
متن کاملSpecies displacements are common to two invasive species of leafminer fly in China, Japan, and the United States.
Under field conditions, species displacements have occurred in different directions between the same invasive species of leafminers (Diptera: Agromyzidae). Liriomyza sativae (Blanchard) was displaced by L. trifolii (Burgess) in the western United States, with evidence suggesting that lower insecticide susceptibility of L. trifolii is a factor. However, in Japan, the opposite has occurred, as L....

the use of resistant plant cultivars and parasitoids could be an effective strategy in ipm of liriomyza sativa blanchard. cucumber is a preferable host for this insect. in this research, antixenosis resistance of 17 cultivars of cucumber was evaluated to l. sativae under greenhouse condition. results indicated that there were significant differences between cultivars with regard to the number o...
