Surviving cancer while young A meta-ethnography through temporal, social, interactional and personal experiences of survival

Today, in Western countries, a majority of children, adolescents, and young adults diagnosed with cancer are expected to survive, potentially hopefully until old age. There is need for research that expands our knowledge the ways which adult survivors understood, understand themselves, narrate their lives. This meta-ethnographic review addresses this need, through synthesis ten qualitative articles exploring narratives survivors, main focus put on experiences described by under age 30. In synthesis, narrated presented temporal, social, interactional, personal dimensions. Although complex intrusive, constantly calling action, these as being masked silenced.
