Survival of Enterprises versus Sustainable Development

Purpose: Attitude assessment of Polish and Portuguese managers towards the problem compliance following sustainable development principles in context running, above all, company's survival. Methodology: The research was conducted on a group of200 randomly selected (presidents, board members, financial directors, company owners) from Poland Portugal (100 people each country), using computer-assisted telephone interviewing method. Findings: put survival first place rather than its activities development;in respondents, this indicator is more even. Failure to comply with can be significant cause business bankruptcy. State aid for enterprises crisis cannot unconditional but dependent their economic, situation, or importance economy. Practical Implications: responsibility observance showed that continuation operations still priority managers. Sustainable should also redefined every few years, considering new ecological climate threats, health issues, economic crises. Originality/Value: Unique high-level issue principles. Their attitude occurring crises impact enterprises' further functioning finally state bankrupt companies.
