Surgical rehabilitation of women with upper limb postmastectomy lymphedema

This study highlights the key aspects of diagnosis postmastectomy edema upper limb. Clinical examination that allows lymphedema with a high degree accuracy should be enhanced lymphoscintigraphy and fluorescent lymphography to establish predict outcome potential surgical intervention. We share our experience in women breast cancer limb various interventions for lymphedema. In stage 2 ineffective therapy, microsurgical intervention (lymphovenous anastomosis) performed if indicated on basis and/ or lymphography. Upper liposuction is recommended 3–4 conservative treatment lack stable results. Water-jet assisted has established its efficacy based data authors findings, i.e., reduced by 70–100% over 1–5 years follow-up.
