Surgical feasibility for arachnoid cyst resolution: an integrative literature review

Objective: To investigate the scientific collection on cases of Arachnoid Cysts (ACs) portrayed in literature which surgical intervention was necessary, approaches were used and their success. Methodology: This is an integrative review carried out Virtual Health Library (VHL), Latin American Caribbean Literature Sciences (LILACS) databases Online System for Searching Analyzing Medical (MEDLINE), with descriptors: “Arachnoid Cyst” AND “Surgery” filters: full text, languages: Portuguese English, time frame last 10 years (2013-2022). Results discussion: Of 32 articles found, excluded due to thematic leakage, unavailability or duplication, totaling a final corpus studies. Final Considerations: There convergence need only symptomatic its high resolution. However, there divergence regarding best method, taking into account specificities each case.
