چکیده
Objectives: Orthognathic surgery is popular and provides patients with improved aesthetics functionality. The procedure considered safe predictable. Possible complications do exist can be life-threatening. aim of this study to assess the prevalence intra- post-operative complications, define possible correlations between diagnoses. Study Design: Medical records 103 who underwent orthognathic in a 4.5-year period (2013–2017), at Baruch Padeh “Tzafon” Center Poriya (PMC), Israel, were retrospectively collected. data analyzed for descriptive statistics non-parametrical tests. Results: In total, there 56 45 (43.7% probability complication per patient). Major occurred only one case (1%), moderate appeared 8.7% cases, while most prevalent minor temporary nerve injury hardware issues (17.5% 15.5%, respectively). Statistical analysis revealed that bi-max has significantly higher (OR 1.34, CI 99% 1.05–1.69, p = 0.019) than one-jaw surgery, as did skeletal class II 2.75, 2.25–3.35, 0.022), compared III patients. Conclusions: Serious seem rare PMC.

Complications of Orthognathic Surgery
Orthognathic surgery is a common approach for treatment of maxillofacial deformi‐ ties. Sagittal split ramus osteotomy (SSRO) is one of the most common techniques used to treat various mandibular deformities. A LeFort I osteotomy is suggested in deformities of the maxilla and can be used along with SSRO or intra‐oral vertical ramus osteotomy (IVRO).The aim of orthognathic surgery is to improve ...

Computer-aided surgical simulation has greatly enhanced the efficiency and accuracy of orthognathic surgery for correction of dentofacial deformities. Virtual surgical planning (VSP) improves the efficiency of the presurgical work-up and provides an opportunity to illustrate the multidimensional correction at the dental and skeletal level. VSP provides preoperative insight into the surgical int...
