چکیده
• Exploring the role of surfactants on nanoscale metal oxide synthesis. A nonionic surfactant (Polyvinyl pyrrolidone) based TiO 2 effectively wrap CdSe. Cationic and anionic deform CdSe host or result in agglomerated 2. CdSe/TiO composite results 8 times enhancement H production than Benchmarking shell coated exhibits 23.1 h −1 .g cat hydrogen gas. The present work demonstrates effect cationic, synthesizing thin layer deposited onto pre-synthesized capsule-like nanoparticles. We benchmark a suitable for homogenous, controlled post-deposition 1-D surface without any complex research tools. Also, we examine inter-dependence material property photocatalytic performance solar generation. generic synthesis deposition route can transfer to wide range semiconductor materials where functional plays crucial role.

Metal Nanoshells for Plasmonically Enhanced Solar-to-Fuel Photocatalytic Conversion
In this study, first, we prepared ternary component semiconductor powders of ZnmIn2S3+m (ZIS) by using microwave-assisted hydrothermal method. Microwave-assisted hydrothermal process is a facile way to produce nanomaterials at a shorter reaction time with less secondary impurities while changing the amount of zinc in a series of solid solutions. With little adjustment of the ratios of [Zn]/[In]...

In our preliminary study, we had prepared quaternary semiconductor powder of AgxInxZnyS2x+y, a photocatalysts with a high activity. In this study, we further extended the investigation, changed the amount of indium in a series of solid solutions, and increased the photochemical activity substantially. With little adjustment of the ratios of [In]/[Ag], the hydrogen production rate of the photoca...
متن کاملPhotocatalytic Hydrogen Generation from Water using Solar Radiation
Solar photocatalytic water splitting is considered as a potential method for hydrogen production as both solar energy and water are renewable. The major task is the design of suitable photocatalysts, which can work efficiently under solar radiation, especially under visible light. The performance of the visible light active photocatalysts synthesized till date is far from satisfactory for any p...

Hydrogen generation from water using noble metal-free photocatalysts presents a promising platform for renewable and sustainable energy. Copper-based chalcogenides of earth-abundant elements, especially Cu2ZnSnS4 (CZTS), have recently arisen as a low-cost and environment-friendly material for photovoltaics and photocatalysis. Herein, we report a new heterostructure consisting of CZTS nanopartic...
متن کاملSolar hydrogen generation by silicon nanowires modified with platinum nanoparticle catalysts by atomic layer deposition.
Covered with Pt: A uniform catalyst profile that ensures effective radial charge collection from high-aspect-ratio Si nanowires was achieved by atomic layer deposition of Pt nanoparticles. The resulting photoelectrode permits the measurement of high photovoltages and low overpotentials, and leads to very good stability against photooxidation of Si nanowires in solar water-reduction reactions.
