Surface Plasmon Resonance Sensor to Detect n-Hexane in Palm Kernel Oil Using Polypyrrole Nanoparticles Reduced Graphene Oxide Layer

Palm kernel oil was extracted using n-hexane. Rotary evaporator and oven were used to remove n-hexane from the oil. Measurement of in low concentration is significant interest subject. In this study, measured surface plasmon resonance technique. order improve sensitivity sensor, polypyrrole nanoparticles decorated reduced graphene oxide (sensing layer) prepared electrodeposition technique on gold film. Different isooctane palm before after purification tested sensing layer. The sensor limit about 1 ppm. results matched with gas chromatography results. thickness roughness layer increased interaction which obtained atomic force microscopy.
