Suppression of Prostate Cancer Cell Growth by Mid-Infrared Rays

Experiments using rubber/resin foam (RB) have already shown that far-infrared rays suppress the proliferation of cancer cells. We will report as a follow up to these findings. When RB was used, temperature culture solution increased by about 0.4°C. This time, with focus on this rise, new heating plate manufactured, and experiments were conducted without RB. It determined suppression growth because heat transfer, not due special action The distribution calculated Planck’s formula, it speculated mid-infrared around 4.8 µm are involved in inhibition cell proliferation. Furthermore, irradiation free electron laser confirmed ratio α-helix β-sheet changed, providing corroborative evidence for suppression.
