Supporting effective participation in health guideline development groups: The Guideline Participant Tool

ObjectivesHealth guidelines are a key knowledge translation tool produced and used by numerous stakeholders worldwide. Effective participation in guideline development groups or is crucial for success, yet little guidance exists members of these groups. In this study, we present the Guideline Participant Tool (GPT) to support effective groups, particular those using Grading Recommendations, Assessment, Development, Evaluation (GRADE) approach.Study Design SettingWe mixed methods iterative approach develop participation. We findings published systematic review an initial list items considerations participants. Then, refined through informant interviews with chairs, sponsors, Finally, validated GPT three 26 group members.ResultsThe based on 37 articles from existing included 15 themes 61 draft tool.
