Adverbs and Light Verbs
Chinese allows manner and degree adverbs to occur further to the left than is possible in English and other languages; compare Amanda will (*loudly) be (loudly) greeting her guests (loudly) with Lisi (qingqingde) ba zhuozi (qingqingde) qiao-le yixia “Lisi lightly knocked once on the table,” with the manner adverbial to the left of BA. متن کاملRepresenting Support Verbs in FrameNet
This paper presents FrameNet’s approach to the representation of Support Verbs, as but one type of multiword expression (MWE) included in the database. In addition to motivating and illustrating FrameNet’s newly consistent annotation practice for Support Verb constructions, the present work advocates adopting a broad view of what constitutes a multiword expression.

It follows from the definition...

In this paper I look at light verb, serial verb and auxiliary constructions crosslinguistically and try to set up criteria to distinguish these constructions. I argue that while a coherent set of properties can be found to distinguish light verbs from auxiliaries, it is more difficult to find crosslinguistic criteria which set serial verbs apart from light verbs and auxiliaries. This is because...
