Supplementation of Turmeric Flour on Survival of Asian Redtail Catfish (Hemibagrus Nemurus)

Asian redtail catfish culture activities are still constrained by the low survival rate in seeds phase, one of causes is cannibalism behavior. Several attempts have been made to improve these fish, and several studies shown that turmeric powder can increase species. Based on this, this study aimed evaluate addition flour with coating method (Hemibagrus nemurus) seeds. This used a completely randomized design using four treatments was repeated three times. The treatment supplemented commercial feed which had protein 40%., were 0.0 g kg-1 (K), 2.5 (TK2.5), 5.0 (TK5.0), 7.5 (TK7.5). size 2.09±0.17 cm, stocking density 3 L-1, reared an aquarium measuring 38x25x22 cm3. conducted for 30 days fed at satiation times day. parameters measured survival, (cannibal type, cannibal index, normal death), growth performance (absolute weight, absolute length, specific weight growth, length growth). results showed TK5.0 able decrease index death rate.
